The reading room at the British Museum.

Like the Louvre in Paris, the British Museum is one of the oldest museums in the world and is impossible to see entirely in one visit. It has accumulated an extensive collection of antiquities over the years from ancient civilizations which include Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome along with exhibits from around the world which date from the Stone Age to the present day.

The British Museum is located in the Bloomsbury area of London within walking distance of the Russell Square and Holborn underground stations. The following hotels are all 0.1 km (0.06 miles) away from the museum.
